Prof. Jinde Cao was Elected as Fellow of Academia Europaea

Recently, Professor Cao Jinde from Department of Mathematics, SEU received a congratulatory letter from Dean Sierd Cloetingh of Academia Europaea for Professor Cao’s election as fellow of Academia Europaea and his outstanding achievement in the research field.

Professor Cao made systemic and in-depth research in fields of neural networks, complex networks, dynamical systems, intelligent control, multi-agent system and differential equations. He has established more than ten articles on journals like SIAM J., IEEE Trans.,Nonlinearity, Physica D, Automatica, etc. His articles have been cited for more than 10 thousand times by SCI and the H- index was 77. He was elected as IEEE Fellow for his outstanding contribution in the analysis of neural networks.

Professor Cao earned advanced individual for excellence in competition activities by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education in China. And he was elevated as one of Young Leading Talents in “333 High-level Personal Training Project” of Jiangsu Province. In 2010, he was the recipient of the first class Science and Technology Award by Jiangsu Province of China. He was also the leader of QingLan Project Innovation Team of Science and Technology by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education in China in 2012. In 2014 and 2015, he was awarded Highly Cited Researchers Award simultaneously in three disciplines (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics) by Thomson Reuters, as well as the Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier.

It is reported that Academia Europaea is a European non-governmental scientific association acting as an Academy. Members are scientists and scholars who collectively aim to promote learning, education and research. The disciplines of Academia Europaea cover humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, science and technology, etc. It is one of the most extensive and influential scientific organizations which have the highest academic position and influence in the world and academic fields.
