On the morning of October 29, 2018, the fourth meeting of the second council of SCIENCE CHINA and SCIENCE BULLETIN (hereinafter referred to as two journals) is held. Chunli Bai, the president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the two journals council, awards certificates to the two journals' 2018 excellent authors, editorial board members and editors. Endowed Chair Professor Jinde Cao (Fellow of IEEE, Member of Academia Europaea and Fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences) from Southeast University is awarded as 2018 excellent author of two journals.
The excellent authors of the two journals are recommended by each journal's editorial board. Each editorial board would choose one excellent author approved by the editor-in-chief, and submitted it to the council for approval. From 2016, the two journals organized such activity every year, to show gratitude and recognition to the scientists striving for the journal quality.
